History of our Law Office

At the origin of Avocats Associés was the law office founded by Cesar Droin, who became famous when charged to liquidate the succession of Daniel Fitzgerald Packenham Barton, English Consul and important benefactor, who built and offered to Geneva the Victoria Hall, a magnificent Concert hall, and the Barton Park, on the lakeside.

Cesar Droin was joined later on by Jean-Jacques Gautier, who was to become the father of the European Convention for the prevention of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Among others, we have also to mention Georges Brosset, doctor of law and lecturer at the Geneva University, who was a partner of our law office for forty years, from 1945 to 1985, and taught Geneva civil procedure to generations of futur attorneys at law, from 1948 to 1982, and Nicolas Peyrot, who joined our office as partner in 2008 until his retirement in 2018.

Strengthened by its experience of 125 years in legal advice and litigation in diverse fields for a large clientele, AVOCATS ASSOCIÉS can rely on all skills of its current partners, Messrs Adriano D. Gianinazzi, Michael Rudermann, Ms. Ana Krisafi Rexha and Anik Pizzi, as well as their staff.
